Though it might seem a little clichéd, Seville's Horse and Carriages are a traditional feature of the city and a trip through the streets can be enjoyable. Some drivers will give historic information of the city as you drive around. There are official stands which include the Plaza de España, Cathedral and Torre del Oro. Do check the itinerary and the price before starting off - some drivers can be unscrupulous and take advantage of the unwary. There is an official price set by the City Hall. As at December 2012 when taken from an official stand this stands at 45€ per hour. Exceptions are for Holy Week - 50€ per hour - and the April Fair (Feria) when the price rises to 95€ per hour. If collected from a speciified meeting point, the price increases by approximately 50%. However it is as well to check with the Tourist Information Office beforehand as prices are subject to change.
Like many other cities, Seville also has "hop-on hop-off" double-decker bus tours. This service has been improved recently with the addition of two new routes with a total of 13 stops, however you will still need to walk to see most of the historic centre as Seville's main sights are not accessible by the tour buses. Tickets on City Sightseeing buses are valid for 48 hours and include a walking tour. The buses can be caught at Torre del Oro.
The Torre del Oro is also a starting point for city river cruises, though like the Bus tours, you won't see a whole lot of the historic centre!
For small groups of up to 10 people, Guadaluxe offers river cruises in small electric boats. The boarding point is in calle Betis, which is on the Triana side of the river. Tickets must be booked online in advance.
For really experiencing Seville as a local, a Tapas Tour is highly recommended - there are thousands of Tapas Bars in Seville and a tour will take you to the best of them as well as introduce you to the local cuisine. Really Discover have a tapas Tour and Azahar Sevilla have a selection of different Food Tours of the city. Cooking classes you can book with Travel & Cuisine.
